The project involves 100 apartment buildings, with about 8000 apartments who will get to try digital keys. Unloc-compatible digital locks will be installed on the main entrances and the residents will then be able to test and use Unloc.
The project aligns well with OBOS’ strategy of offering attractive solutions and services to apartment buildings and their residents. They think digital keys will make everyday life easier for the residents and board members when it comes to managing keys and access.
OBOS will take all the expenses of installing the technology. Unloc will be offered as a complimentary product and will not replace physical keys. In the first part of the project apartment buildings in Oslo will be able to participate. In the future, however, the plan is that all apartment complexes connected to OBOS will get the offer of using digital keys.
- I like hairy goals, our goal is that 80 % of all apartments will use Unloc within a few years, says CEO of OBOS Daniel Kjørberg Siraj.
OBOS gives Unloc a convertible loan of five million, which allows them to buy shares in the company at the next investment round, under favorable conditions.
Daniel Kjørberg Siraj comments: - We have found an exciting partner in Unloc and together we will unlock and offer the market's best solutions for digital keys.
- The collaboration with OBOS is incredibly valuable to Unloc. We have a joint mission to make everyday life easier for everyone with a front door. Now we are going to revolutionize how the keys of the world are shared and used, says Kris Riise, CEO of Unloc.
